Description
This is the tenth and last of a series of concerti intended partly for good amateurs
who would normally not be attracted to some overtly difficult modern pieces but
who want the challenge of today's music.
This concerto was begun in May 2007 and completed the following month and is
largely tonal, and completely uncomplicated in style with some characteristic
humour.
There are three movements:
1: Allegro giusto - an extended prelude based on the triads of A flat major, D minor,
F sharp major and E minor to make a note row which will always be tonal in effect.
2: Andante - allegro moderato - andante - in ABA form, an off-key and darkly
scherzando slow section is flanked by a satirical "pop song" in 60s style, which the
soloist should sing if possible. The andante is then repeated.
3: Allegro - a return to sanity with sonata form and tonality - eventually.

The score only ($15) and the score with parts ($72) are both available
