Description
These short dialogues were inspired by hearing the playing of the Venetian duo of
Alessando Balsimini [ guitar] and Davide Compostella [ clarinet] and the work is
dedicated to them.
Questi dialoghi corti erano inspirati dalle interpretazioni del duo veneziano di Alessando
Balsimini [chittara] e Davide Compostella [clarinetto] e l'opera è dedicata a loro.
1. Dialogo tra l'alba e la laguna
An Impressionistic sunrise piece with the dawn breaking over the lagoon. Both
are happy to sing the same song.
Un pezzo impressionistico della levata del sole coll'alba sopra la laguna.
Tutt'e due sono felici di cantare lo stesso canto.
2. Dialogo tra un gondoliere e il sole
A lighter mood now with the gondolier's song and the sound of the oars
producing a sense of well-being, even idleness, in the sunshine.
Adesso un umore più leggero, col canto del gondoliere e il suono dei remi che producono una
sensazione di benessere, o perfino oziosa, nella luce del sole.
3. Dialogo tra il crepuscolo e la morte
A return to a darker sound world; in the end, both instruments sing the same song
as the dusk knows that there will always be another day, and Death knows that
there will always be death, so there is harmony.
Un ritorno a un mondo di suono più scuri; al fine, i due strumenti cantono lo stesso canto
perchè il crepuscolo sa che ci sarà sempre un altro giorno, e la morte sa che ci sarà sempre la
morte, da dove c'è l'armonia!
