These 6 technically challenging pieces were written in 1991 and are based on interval-derived note rows. The first piece starts with a four note motif written by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies in the signed copy of the composer's book "The Music of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies - an annotated catalogue", hence the title.
