Description
1. Sparrow Hall Waltz
A pastiche Viennese waltz written some time after staying five weeks in September to October 2004 at Sparrow Hall, Enfield, with an out-of-tune piano and nothing but Strauss waltzes in the piano stool. The garden had every bird imaginable - except sparrows!

2. Tango Affettolato
This piece, originally for SATB was written in November to December 2006 for the Affetside Choir, then conducted by his cousin Kenneth Bayliss. This is the piano transcription.
(The original choral version can be found here:

3. Enigmatic Waltz
The first tune suddenly came to the composer while staying over New Year period 2006-2007 at the home of Peter and Judy Lane of Prize Magazines, to whom the piece is dedicated. It was written down there and completed upon the composer’s return home.
